Manoj and Nalin dance under water with ‘Mithuriye’

Lanka’s very first under water video was done in March this year by talented singing duo Nalin Liyanage and Manoj Jayawardana for their hit song ‘Mithuriye’.

Nalin and Manoj, more specifically known as ‘Sanskruthi’, is a Sri Lankan Urban music band formed in 2004 by Nalin and Manoj. They released their debut audio single ‘Mithuriye’ in November 2011 and their music is promoted by their independent record label SANSKRUTHI Records.
‘It was a hit from the very begining and that is why we though of doing somthing new and differnt for its video’ Manoj said.

Even though Sanskruthi was officially formed in 2004 their music timeline goes back to the days of the year 1998 as Nalin was already leading a vocal band and Manoj was doing his solo singing acts in College, which was Thurstan College, Colombo.

A few years later they collaborated as a band having one dream of becoming a professional music band in the Lankan music industry.
‘All the college functions including Band Displays, Leo functions and Interact functions were graced by our combination we did some outstanding performances as a unique vocal blend’ he explained.

The duo together has won the Interact All Island Singing Championship, 2001 and were also awarded as one of the best performance spots at the Interact Talent Search, 2003.

Currently Nalin and Manoj are working on their debut album which will be released under the SANSKRUTHI Records record label in late 2012. This will include a rich variety of high standard Urban music with pure Sri Lankan lyrics and is undoubtedly expected to capture the hearts of Sri Lankan music lovers.
